...which means my wife's vagina must be an "outie."

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia's son Paul is a Roman Catholic priest who works for an organization that claims it can "cure" homosexuals. Which is odd since Paul doesn't believe homosexuals exist. And he doesn't like the way uppity, non-existant homosexuals insist on being treated with respect. "Those who once insisted on tolerance for their lifestyle will now tolerate no disagreement," Father Paul writes in Humanum: Issues in Family, Culture & Science magazine. "Society now requires everyone’s approval of what not long ago was regarded as morally abhorrent."

So, yeah, Father Paul is pretty buttsore about how bigots get called on their bigotry. Says John at Americablog:

We absolutely do demand tolerance, acceptance and the right to marry. But who said that the Scalia boys were no longer permitted to be hateful homophobic bigots? It seems both are excelling at it.

Young Paul Scalia is suffering from the same malady that afflicts many a conservative. They suffer from the delusion that the First Amendment gives them the right to not only speak, but to speak with impunity. In their warped world view, the only way that they can have free speech is for you to have no speech.

So Catholics leaders, for example, are free to bash gays, and blacks, and latinos, and women—and rape children—but if you speak up about them bashing gays, blacks, latinos, women—and raping children—you’re the bad person because you dared to challenge them.

And speaking of bad guys and child rapists...

Files released by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee on Monday reveal that in 2007, Cardinal Timothy F. Dolan, then the archbishop there, requested permission from the Vatican to move nearly $57 million into a cemetery trust fund to protect the assets from victims of clergy sexual abuse who were demanding compensation. Cardinal Dolan, now the archbishop of New York, has emphatically denied seeking to shield church funds as the archbishop of Milwaukee from 2002 to 2009.... However, the files contain a 2007 letter to the Vatican in which he explains that by transferring the assets, “I foresee an improved protection of these funds from any legal claim and liability.” The Vatican approved the request in five weeks, the files show.

The same church that could drag the removal a single pedophile priest out for years—decades—approved the transfer of $57 million in five weeks. The church couldn't be bothered to protect the children in its care. But sweet, innocent and vulnerable money? Yeah, they protected that shit.
