From the Everett Herald:

LYNNWOOD — Washington is an expansion target for Chick-fil-A, the Atlanta-based national fast-food chain, and Lynnwood could be the site of the restaurant's first location in the state.

And you'll recall that:

Last summer, Chick-fil-A patrons crowded into restaurants in 38 states and the District of Columbia to show their support for company president Dan Cathy, who has been outspoken in his opposition to same-sex marriage.

Company spokeswoman Brenda Morrow says:

"Washington is one of our growth states," Morrow said. "And we're excited about it."

Ms. Morrow, Dan Cathy, and Chick-fil-A in general: May I speak for Washington state and say we are NOT excited about it. Please stay away, or prepare to face the wrath of Dan Savage and us all. Lynnwood is not too far for us to ride our bikes to in order to picket your ass.

Thanks to tipper Bryan.
