Melville House's Zeljka Marosevic says:

The Independent on Sunday is to lose all of its art critics as of September, as the newspaper makes a series of cuts. Although the paper’s editor, Lisa Markwell has insisted that the paper will still feature the arts, its arts section, ‘The Critics’, will be renamed and will no longer be led by review coverage.

I'm guessing instead of reviews, the paper will be running fluffy "interviews" and rewritten press releases, maybe alongside some syndicated content. That's the sort of shit that makes people stop reading arts sections entirely. So one day soon, when the Independent on Sunday cuts whatever section happens after they rename The Critics, they'll blame it on people not being interested in arts coverage. That's not true. People just don't like shitty arts coverage. They want opinionated, knowledgeable, honest arts coverage.
