At 7 p.m. tonight on KING television, Mayor Mike McGinn and state senator Ed Murray (D-Capitol Hill) will clash in a bloody deathmatch of words. We'll blog it here on Slog. So join us. In the meantime, here's a clip of the two men sharing their contempt for each other recently at a debate:

Since Murray has run a mostly negative campaign this year, claiming the mayor divides his fellow politicians, and has calibrated virtually all his positions to match the mayor's platform, it will be interesting to see what tack the men take. If McGinn goes negative too—as he does in the video—will that prove McGinn really is the most divisive divider who's ever divided a division? Will Murray distinguish some policy differences from the mayor? And will Murray's high-priced speech prep from Bill Clinton coach Frank Greer pay off with some new-found charisma? Tune in!
