After 126 cops filed a federal lawsuit yesterday claiming that a new use-of-force policy (designed to stop a pattern of unconstitutional policing) required too much restraint and hesitation, thereby putting cops and the public at risk, the SPD has mustered the courage to say on its blog that the lawsuit "does not represent the views of the Seattle Police Department. The department is committed to reform." Good job, gang. Now make sure those 126 cops are never promoted.
