Three apartment dwellers discover that their neighbor across the courtyard is a serious Peeping Tom. What’s more, the candid shots he’s snapping don’t technically seem to have occurred yet. A nifty little cross between Primer and Shallow Grave, with a central MacGuffin that manages to maintain its plausibility until the credits roll. (The final shot is a beaut.) The characterizations may never rise above stock, but the ingenious premise and smart use of locations keep the B-movie energy flowing. (ANDREW WRIGHT)
