A reminder for those buying coffee in Seattle: Storyville Coffee is owned by people with serious ties to neo-evangelical, homophobic, misogynist Mars Hill Church. Their cafe in Pike Place Market has been open since last fall—it's upstairs, down the hall from Matt's in the Market, and thus pretty easy to avoid.

Now Storyville has two more cafes to avoid: one at First and Madison downtown, and one on Queen Anne.

Here's a little bit more on whether Storyville money ends up at Mars Hill. What do you think? What I think is, either way, I'd prefer to spend my money at places that aren't tied to people who think that women should be subservient to men and that gay people are sinners.
