  • Mitt Romney's religion won't let him watch R-rated movies, but he still wants Sony to release The Interview.

America has spoken, and we all agree that Sony's cowardice has embarrassed the nation. I can't find a single person arguing that Sony did the right thing by canceling The Interview. Democrats and Republicans agree. Donald Trump agrees with Rob Lowe, Rob Lowe agrees with Newt Gingrich, and for the first time in our nation's history, everyone agrees with Mitt Romney.

It's practically a Christmas miracle that we've found one issue that brings everyone in America together in bipartisan support.

But hating Sony isn't the only national pastime. The other big communist news from yesterday is fracturing the parties on weird lines, too. As I told you yesterday, Senator Marco Rubio is leading the charge against President Obama's opening of relations with Cuba. Jeb Bush followed Rubio's lead with a statement on Facebook condemning the "ill-advised move." But Senator Rand "Stopped Clock" Paul is taking Obama's side, calling the opening of relations with Cuba "probably a good idea," and saying the embargo "just hasn't worked." I suspect more Republicans will join Paul in the days ahead, when polls show the American people are very open to a normalized relationship with Cuba.

But the important takeaway from all this is that if you're getting into a political fight with your crazy racist old uncle over dinner at a family function next week, you can just change the subject to The Interview, and everyone will suddenly come to an agreement. How often does that happen?
