Wow, what a fun, goofy Kraken preview. Not sure The Stranger audience was looking for this, but it's nice to see a little local sports coverage, Stranger-style.

Not sure if Brittney here is referring to the Stanley Cup champion 2008-09 Penguins or just the Penguins in general, but either way, I can get behind that sentiment.

I'll be rooting for Dan Bylsma and the Kraken, even if it will probably always be a bit academic. My Pens loyalty, however irrational, is just too ingrained by now.

Tickets are starting at $99. That’s not counting fees and tax.
So if my wife and I want to take our granddaughter to a game it’s $300 to walk in the door. And that’s for the cheap seats.
I’ll spend the money on groceries instead.
