When I was a kid, I used to watch my mom separate the clumpy mascara on her eyelashes with a sewing needle. Once when she wasn’t around, I tried this and poked my eye so badly I thought I was blind. What kind of photographer would I be if I were blind? Indie musician and Seattle native Heather Duby was recently in an accident that pretty much crushed both of her hands. Not only is she unable to play music, she cannot work. Tonight’s benefit includes sets by Helms Alee, the Redwood Plan, and Mark Pickerel, plus a silent auction of neat items like music gear, art, and jewelry.
