Here’s a first: a solo dance piece by a classically trained local talent, to be performed on the street outside the Greyhound bus station, in the plaza of the US District Courthouse, and in a nearby parking garage (where a music video will be projected on a wall). The subject is Dickinson’s relationship with his mother, a dance teacher with schizophrenia who called him up about 10 years ago to tell him she was living on the street. It’s called Mother for You I Made This, and Dickinson will be performing it at 7 p.m. every night for the next two weeks, rain or shine. (Meet on the 800 block of Stewart St, across from the Greyhound station, velocitydancecenter.org/ezra-dickinson, 7 pm, $18, through May 19)
