Kary Wayson, a two-time finalist for a Stranger Genius Award, is a wonderful, bewitching, hard-to-pin-down poet whose genius is seduction—the seduction that secrets and sounds produce, mostly. Asked what she will contribute tonight, she says, “I’m potentially/metaphorically taking my pants off.” (So put her down for that kind of seduction, too.) Joining her are the award-encrusted novelist and short-fiction star Richard Bausch, short-story writer Roxane Gay, and the Stranger Genius Award–winning musician and playwright John Osebold, who’s making music out of “surreal tweet-sized rumors” and “a description of what you experience when you die.” (Richard Hugo House, 1634 11th Ave, hugohouse.org, 7:30 pm, $25)
