If you love birds, you can see hundreds of them from the Burke Museum’s ornithology collection—from hummingbirds to hornbills—at this new annual event. You should also know that the birds are all dead, so there’s that. They’re going to let you touch the dead birds, too, and demonstrate how they prepare their bird specimens—it’ll be like bird Halloween! The Audubon Society and various ornithological experts will be on hand to answer questions and make you feel okay about all the dead birds. (Burke Museum, UW campus, burkemuseum.org, 10 am–4 pm, $10)
