The cocktails at high-ceilinged, pretty-but-not-too-pretty Damn the Weather in Pioneer Square are excellent, thanks to local bar heroes Jay Kuehner and Bryn Lumsden. Then there’s the Caesar salad sandwich. From the mind of chef Eli Dahlin (formerly of the Walrus and the Carpenter), it’s made with brioche fried in butter; the top of the sandwich has a circle cut out of it with an egg fried inside the hole (sometimes called egg-in-a-nest); the filling is especially lemony Caesar salad. It’s made with good, local stuff, and the circle from the bread-top rests alongside, draped with a silvery anchovy. It’s so good.
