Tod Gangler never comes out and says it’s a crime how the old neighborhood is becoming a simulacrum of itself, but his 63 large-format photographs scream it. Shot at night, when Ballard looks its best seedy self, the scenes are streaked with obscene/pretty rainbows of light due to the long exposures and Gangler’s antique color printing technique, which makes each piece a destructible original. So goes Ballard. (Nordic Heritage Museum, 3014 NW 67th St, nordicmuseum.org, noon–4 pm, $8, through Nov 16)
