On Friday night at Inay's on Beacon Hill, the dining room is lackadaisically lorded over by a drag queen named Atasha, who veers between a cappella singing, disco lip-synching, and ripping off her wig in hilarious displays of ferocity. Point-blank drag under fluorescents is a risky venture, but between the good, homestyle Filipino food (try the jalapeño tilapia) and Atasha's joie de vivre, Friday at Inay's is an experience like no other in town. (Inay's Asian Pacific Cuisine, 2503 Beacon Ave S, 325-5692, 7–8:30 pm)
