When Devo came through Seattle in 2009 to perform their first and third albums, they recaptured the phenomenal urgency, tensile strength, and robotic tunefulness of their early material. The exhilarating anxiety of it all still made sense. Devo's newest album, Something for Everybody, contains more of their broad, pessimistic social commentary set to middle-aged dance rock; it's better than expected but, unsurprisingly, not up to Q: Are We Not Men? standards. Still, Devo are consummate entertainers with a loaded back catalog. (Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Ave, 1-877-784-4849, 7:30 pm, $38–$100, all ages)
