From 1978 to 1981, UK quartet Gang of Four forged some of the most abrasive funk rock ever while offering equally scathing critiques of capitalism through ingenious metaphor. The quality dropped after 1981's Solid Gold, but Gang of Four's 2005 reunion with the original lineup was phenomenal, and their first new full-length in 16 years, Content, is stronger than expected. Singer Jon King and guitarist Andy Gill's amazing chemistry and well-preserved, prodigious skills assure a history lesson that'll be anything but bunk.
