Male Bonding's Sub Pop debut from earlier this year, Nothing Hurts, proves that there's still plenty of vitality left in the realm of amphetamine-spiked rock. The London trio finds a happy medium between scathing noise and shout-along melodicism, grinding out breathless anthems with remarkable economy and ramshackle nuance. It's nothing novel or fancy, but Male Bonding's old pharmaceuticals in new pills will still get you gloriously buzzed. Check out "Crooked Scene" for their strongest dose of speedy rock amplification.
