Tonight, a summit meeting of some of Seattle's most important avant-rock musicians transpires. Dylan Carlson is the guitarist mastermind behind ambient-metal pioneers Earth, who now make a blasted, spacious species of desolation blues. Bill Horist is an innovative improviser forever finding new ways to contour new sounds into new shapes from his guitar. He also plays in Master Musicians of Bukkake, the third act on the bill, an otherworldly troupe of mad mystics who scavenge and metabolize myriad ethnic musics to transcendentally psychedelic ends.
