Matias Aguayo was born in Chile, is based in Buenos Aires and Paris, and records for esteemed Cologne label Kompakt—so you expect him to have a fluidly fluent tongue. That tongue is all over his latest album, Ay Ay Ay, on which he builds loose, loopy dance tracks using little more than his mouth, layering beatboxed drums, hummed bass lines, and elastic singing over a bare minimum of instrumentation. Far from the minimal techno he playfully skewers on the single "Minimal," Ay Ay Ay is ridiculously funky, a humid, 98.6-degree discotheque—with teeth. (Nectar, 412 N 36th St, 632-2020. 8 pm, $8, 21+.)
