One of the few musicians whom one legitimately can call a Renaissance man, David Byrne is now magnanimously touring with the purpose of performing "Songs of David Byrne and Brian Eno." Which means he'll somehow try to replicate the sampledelic funk and eerie ambience of the brainy duo's groundbreaking My Life in the Bush of Ghosts, as well as the winsome, high-IQ pop of the new Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, and (bet on it) "Once in a Lifetime." (Benaroya Hall, 200 University St, 292-2787. 8:30 pm, $45, all ages.)
