(JAZZ) Ravi Coltrane must be Jesus because he is the son of God, John Coltrane. Named after the sitar genius Ravi Shankar (the father of Norah Jones), Ravi Coltrane is, like his father, a tenor and soprano saxophonist. He has released several well-received records as a bandleader, worked with jazz legends like Herbie Hancock, and composed the liner notes for a recent reissue of A Love Supreme. If you miss tonight's performance, you can catch Ravi on Thursday, November 3, at Langston Hughes Cultural Arts Center. (The Triple Door, 216 Union St, 838-4333. Doors at 6 pm, show at 7 pm, $20.)
