(GUITAR HERO) Three albums into a solo career after five great Pavement records, the Stephen Malkmus library is starting to look like a Body of Work. His newest effort, Face the Truth, is pretty, graceful, funny, folky (in the British sense), and smart. More importantly, it offers a perfect live showcase for his unbelievably expressive guitar playing. And his band, the Jicks, are killer. (Neumo's, 925 E Pike St, 709-9467. 9:30 pm, $15, 21+.)
