Also, i neglected to mention this in the Suggest text, but the sing-along screening folks also encourage costumes, with a full-fledged costume contest taking place before the film gets rolling.

If only that UW kid had waited a day and gone to this screening in his Nazi garb and fake gun. He'd have been right at home, and still alive tomorrow.

One of my favorite Chicago memories is going to a screening of the Sound of Music in Grant Park on a warm summer night. People were singing along, booing at the Baroness... it was excellent.

how stupid...this was on TV last week...i had a FREE drunken sing along in the privacy of my own home and didn't have to put up with the glare off of John Curley's massively large forehead....

Or, instead of having to put up with people who couldn't carry a tune in a bushel basket if they had to you could buy a used copy of the 40th anniversary edition DVD for less than $12! And should you wish to see it again next December you already have it and you can sing along with it properly at home.

Please wait...
