Actually, I think Tokyo Story came in third, behind Kane. Interestingly, it topped the directors list (where it had not previously even appeared in the top ten).

EdgarS is correct. TOKYO STORY is on top of the Sight & Sound Directors' Poll and in third on the Critics' Poll.
