Shame, my friend Karl Hungus is looking for work.

Did you run a poll in 2007 to find out if people wanted their phones to track where they go?

It's just so much bitching about pineapple pizza. Order something else if you hate it so much.

"Plus, it's just meant to help stop your packages from being stolen from your front porches (or so says Amazon)."

Oh yes, the most successful retailer in history has suddenly decided that home burglaries are where the real money is.

I honestly don't see the concern. The system as it has been described creates a door code which is good for only a couple seconds after verifying that the delivery driver is who they say they are and that they are delivering a package the customer ordered. The entire things is video and audio recorded for the customer to watch.

If you were of a mind to rob a house, there are infinite number of easier ways to break in to other houses where you won't be so easily identified. A house electronically locked and recorded would be at the bottom of your list. You wouldn't even have an incentive to open the door up wide enough to look inside for fear that some customer watching their video complains about you.
