What did you think of the Frito Bandito as a kid? "I thought he was cute enough."

Cute enough for what? "Cute enough for me! Actually, I don't remember him. I lived in Spain--we didn't have the Frito Bandito. I remember he butchered the song--'Aiyaiyaiyai, I am the Frito Bandito,' when it's, 'Aiyaiyaiyai, canta y no llores.'"

Did you read Asterix comics as a kid? Were they around in Spain? "Yes, but the accent was on the 'e'--Astérix. I never really read them. My brother was into them. I haven't seen them since then. Did you read them? How did you know to ask me about them?"

I got them through my cousins in Colombia, and one of Asterix's adventures was set in Spain. I think they're available in the U.S. now. "I'm actually playing sort of a Viking in this play, now that you mention Asterix."

How so? "A Viking with a sombrero, but he's just as well hung."

What makes him a Viking? "Because he's just as well hung! Weren't Vikings well hung?"

Norse mythology doesn't go into much detail about that. "Well, this play does. It's a melodrama about a man with a huge ego and a big dick. The big dick part I can play really easily--it's the ego part I'm working on."

Surely you're being modest. "What's modest?"

You sound confident enough, what with your big dick and all. "Wait a minute--what's the difference between hanged and hung?"

Is the bandido hanged in the play? "I refuse to have phone sex with you. I gave it up for the millennium."

What does that song mean? "It means, 'Aiyaiyaiyai, Sing, don't cry.'"
