Before the federal government, where did artists get their funding? Sounds like they should be knocking on the doors of rich widows.

Come on folks, were slashing budgets, closing schools, laying off depts, I dont think many will care about keeping the money to fund artwork that the majority of the population will never appreciate.

WA State would be the first state in the union NOT to have an arts commission. This would put us behind Mississippi culturally.
