Burn!

@ 2. I've never written a play—I think you meant to troll John Longenbaugh's blog.

Brendan, she's French...it wouldn't work. She needs:

"Dramaturgie Pour les Nuls"

MEAN!

Get one to Theresa Rebeck too

@5 Excellent point!

(And, while "God of Carnage" at the Rep didn't change my life or anything, I did laugh...several times. But then, I'm kinda obsessed with Hans Altwies and Amy Thone, so that helped a ton)

Sara Ruhl needs it more, if that VIBRATOR PLAY is any indication.

@ Brendan Kiley - Do you read French? You keep taking all these jabs at Yasmina Riza, but all of her work is translated by Christopher Hampton. One could argue that you haven't really experienced her work and just a bad adaptation by a British Playwright. AND, to be fair, I'm going to put the blame on Christopher Hampton - his work is just awful and I can't imagine that his adaptations would be a fair representation of the original intent.
