Gob Squad is a collective of smart, sometimes goofball (in a good way) European artists who’ve been working together since 1994. Gob Squad’s Kitchen (You’ve Never Had It So Good) reconstitutes Andy Warhol’s world circa 1965, using the audience to make some of his famous films that examined everyday acts—kissing, sleeping, and so on. At first, Kitchen seems like a lighthearted homage, but when I saw it in New York more than a year ago, an electric undercurrent of genuine sweetness emerged in the room, with everyone doing something to contribute. No two nights are the same. (On the Boards, 100 W Roy St, www.ontheboards.org, 8 pm, $25)
