Roast those big, beautiful bastards with some thyme, maybe with a little squeeze of lemon or orange juice.

I saw some of these in Cal Anderson Park. I avoided looking at them too closely and just assumed they were random street detritus, like so much other crap I see around. Seems like a waste of a perfectly good vegetable and a failed viral marketing attempt. (Well, a failure on me, at any rate. Obviously not a total failure as they ended up on SLOG.)
