Seattle Theater Loses One of Its Great Talents

A lovely musical, tricked out with prime bits of Whitsett-phernailia. Chris Bennion

FAWKing hell . Huge loss.
She was a demi-goddess in that industry. Thank you for writing this - it just about does her work justice. The only thing left out is that she was a fabulous teacher as well !
I had the extreme priveledge of being her assistant for several workshops back in the 90's, and I learned more about art, sight, and the entire theatre industry in a dozen weekends with her than I did studying under Wollam, Gjelsteen, Shafer, et al combined. She left her students, (newbies and veterans alike) a geniune love for the craft, and a little awe, and a little loaned talent (i.e. a handful of skills polished to a pro-level). Even the next-tier likes of Nathan Rodda and Tracy Weikel (who moved west I thnk) will have a impossible time of filling her paint-spattered shoes.

Cheers & farewell & thanks, Edie.

Please wait...

and remember to be decent to everyone
all of the time.
