Having read the play beforehand, I was kinda disappointed...all the performances telegraphed the ending far too much and too soon reducing the intrigue of what happened to Xuifei and there was little chemistry between Annette & Baptiste. The Mandarin was passable but not wholely authentic and who the heck sits out on the bare snow and ice covered ground in the frozen wilderness? When audience members are coming out talking about the Aurora Borealis effects and the radio controlled lanterns more that the show itself...something is rotten in the province of Yukon.
