From cookies to yule logs, the bakeries of Seattle are keeping the Christmastime confections coming. Below, we've gathered enough sugary specials to sate even the severest sweet tooth so you can get your fill this holiday season. Whether you're in the mood for an impromptu dessert out (like Hot Cakes' Harry Potter-inspired butterbeer and spiced hazelnut rocher), a delicious treat to order ahead for Christmas morning (like Piroshky Piroshky's holiday kringle), a last-minute treat to impress your coworkers (like General Porpoise's peppermint bark cream doughnuts), or an excuse to try Sugar Factory, the over-the-top chain that's a favorite of celebrities like the Kardashians and Drake and offers holiday cotton candy, there's something for you here. A La Mode Pie
In addition to their spiced holiday pumpkin pie (a slight update to the classic with gingerbread crust and candied ginger topping), the venerable pie bakery has introduced a glistening frosted cranberry pie, which they describe on Instagram as “gingersnap crust laced with pecans, filled with a cranberry custard with a hint of lime, and topped with fresh whipped cream and sugared cranberries.” And take note: their West Seattle space is also serving up boozy eggnog shakes.

Amandine Bakeshop
For the holidays, the pint-sized Parisian bakeshop offers christolle, a traditional Alsatian holiday sweet bread with dried fruits, marzipan, candied ginger, and a kiss of rum; a gingerbread and Conférence pear pudding cake with spiced caramel; buche de Noel; savory fougasse bread; and a litany of delightful Christmas cookies, including chewy molasses ginger, pignoli, shortbread snowflakes, speculoos, spicy smoky chocolate, and linzer with sour cherry jam.
Note: Deadline to order for Christmas is 4 pm on December 21 for shop purchases, midnight on December 21 for web orders. Cut-off for Bûche de Noël orders is mid-day on December 21.

Bakery Nouveau
The beloved Bakery Nouveau's holiday offerings don't disappoint, with lavish special-occasion cakes like the Santa S'more, a Bûche de Noël, and the Sugar Plum Fairy ("cinnamon chiffon layered with a caramelized white chocolate mousse and a spread of quince, all over a gingerbread-crumb base, elegantly finished with a purple glaze and mini macarons"), plus a selection of rolls, breads, stollen, panettone, cookies, and pies.
Note: Pre-order deadline has already passed, but some offerings may still be available—call in advance to check. Bakery Nouveau will be open until 6 pm on December 24th and closed December 25th & 26th, and will re-open for regular hours on Wednesday, December 27. They'll also be open on December 31st but closed January 1.

Byen Bakeri
Yelp reviewers rave about this Scandinavian bakery's excellent holiday kringle, a popular Northern European pastry, but there are also plenty of other traditional goodies like Bûche de Noël, pfeffernuesse, stollen, fruitcake, julekake, and marzipan pigs on offer.
Note: Deadline to order Bûche de Noël is Friday, December 22.

The Cookie Counter
Ice cream flavors like gingerbread, candy cane, cranberry marshmallow, and eggnog are in rotation at Greenwood's vegan ice cream parlor and bakery.

Coyle’s Bakeshop
This Greenwood bakery's holiday menu includes sticky toffee pudding, cranberry and Meyer lemon meringue tart, bourbon dark chocolate pecan pie, and pear galette. They also have some special holiday macarons available in-store.

Crumble and Flake
The Capitol Hill patisserie has cakes in flavors like bourbon ginger plum and orange cranberry.

Cupcake Royale
The cupcakery's holiday lineup contains maple sweet potato, eggnog snickerdoodle, cranberry white chocolate, and peppermint bark, as well as limited edition brittles and barks (in flavors like peppermint and zesty cranberry white chocolate). They also have some decorated dozens decked out with wee candy canes, ornaments, snowflakes, and vintage holiday toppers. From December 26–January 7, they'll also have a New Year's Eve-themed strawberry champagne cupcake.

D’Ambrosio Gelato
Santa certainly won't mind if you eschew the conventional milk and cookies for the Ballard gelateria's "Babbo Natale," a flavor with big chunks of Metropolitan Market's famous chocolate chip cookie swirled into a Fior di Latte base made with local, organic Fresh Breeze Dairy milk. There's also a white chocolate peppermint bark flavor made with Theo chocolate.

Dahlia Bakery
Tom Douglas's Belltown bakery offers hot buttered rum fudge, chocolate peppermint bundt cake, cranberry bostock, milk chocolate orange brownies, Kentucky bourbon pecan pie, caramel spiced Washington apple pie, heirloom squash pie with a gingersnap cookie layer, and a marzipan-filled crostada studded with Fuji apples, cranberries, and butternut squash. And yes, the iconic triple coconut cream pie is on the menu.
Note: Online orders for December 24 will be taken until Friday, December 22 at noon. After that, orders are available on first-come, first-serve basis.

Frankie & Jo’s
Everyone's favorite plant-based ice creamery has three limited-time winter flavors: “Winter Sunrise,” a sweet-tart sherbet made from coconut milk, blood orange, and Oregon cranberries and infused with frankincense essential oil; “Ginger & Molasses,” a spicy molasses-swirled fresh ginger ice cream with gingerbread cookie chunks; and the cosmic Mercury retrograde-inspired “Retrograde,” with organic white sage steeped in a sea salt chocolate base and which F&J calls a “soulful ice cream reminding us to look inward & reflect.”

Full Tilt Ice Cream
The pinball arcade is scooping their 2 Mint Promise ice cream, with crushed peppermint candies in a peppermint base, at all of their locations. All sales benefit YouthCare.

General Porpoise
The Instagram for Renee Erickson's doughnut and coffee spot has showcased their filled doughnuts in a parade of flavors like Quince & Cardamom Jam, Eggnog Cream, Peppermint Bark Cream, and Apple Cinnamon Jam, each somehow more covetable than the last.

Hot Cakes
Harry Potter fans will clamor for the molten chocolate cakery's new butterbeer, which can be topped up with your choice of sparkling wine or Rachel's Ginger Beer. For a limited time only, they've also got a Spiced Hazelnut Rocher, which they describe as "all of the goodness of the holidays wrapped up in a pillowy meringue filled with chocolate candied hazelnuts bits."

Lady Yum
Artisan macaron maker Lady Yum has rolled out five new holiday flavors, including peppermint bark, eggnog toffee crunch, dark chocolate orange, frosted sugar cookie, and gingerbread lemon cheesecake.

Le Panier
The Paris-by-way-of-Pike-Place patisserie/boulangerie has Bûche de Noël (en citron et chocolate) adorned with clusters of adorable macarons; a brioche pain de noël; pinwheel cookies; macarons in candy cane, orange ganache, noisette (hazelnut), and ginger; and a host of other treats including but not limited to eclairs, breads, and tarts. Also, don't miss their "La Galette des Rois" (king's cake), an Epiphany celebration puff pastry cake filled with almond cream and housing a tiny porcelain figurine (tradition dictates that whoever finds the slice holding the trinket is crowned royalty for the day).

Le Rêve Bakery and Cafe
This casual Queen Anne bakery recommends a latte as an accompaniment to their candy cane macarons and gingerbread cookies.

Macrina Bakery
The famous bakery's holiday menu includes eggnog cheesecake, gingerbread spice cupcakes with candied ginger and cream cheese frosting, panettone, chocolate pecan babka, and a stunning yule log with chocolate ganache and candied kumquats, among others.
Note: Order deadline for Christmas is Friday, December 22nd, with pickup Sunday, December 24th.

Molly Moon’s
The local ice cream parlor chain is currently scooping a peppermint mocha flavor with chunks of Theo's chocolate and peppermint bark folded into a coffee base. It's also available in their seasonal "Clara's Favorite Sundae," a collaboration with the Pacific Northwest Ballet which includes house-made hot fudge and marshmallow sauce, whipped cream, candy cane dust, and a Chukar cherry.

Sip eggnog or vegan almond nog from the donut chain alongside one of their seasonal ginger-spiced donuts, made with an organic ginger-and-molasses-spiced cake and finished with more cinnamon and ginger spices.

Nielsen’s Pastries
This Danish bakery in Queen Anne has been slinging pastries since 1965, so trust that their sugar cookies, gingerbread, and apple kringle are the gold standard.

Parfait Ice Cream
Farm-to-table ice creamery Parfait has flavors like white peppermint chocolate chip and sugar plum sorbet, as well as bottles of their eggnog.

Piroshky Piroshky
Pike Place Market's flaky-pastry purveyor, which turns 25 this year, has baked up a beautiful Northern European kringle, spiced with a fragrant, warming cinnamon-cardamom blend and studded with bright orange peel, raisins, and a hint of cocoa. The pastry is braided and shaped into a wreath, then finished with a lemon honey glaze and a dash of chocolate. It's available for pickup and nationwide shipping on Piroshky Piroshky's website and is liable to vanish quickly from its place at the center of your table.

Preserve & Gather
The Greenwood bakery is selling leckerli, a Swiss holiday cookie with honey, candied citrus, almonds, cherry brandy, and spice. Should you need a warm beverage to pair it with, they also have hot cocoa with homemade peppermint marshmallows.

Rodeo Donuts (available at Cupcake Royale in Ballard and Capitol Hill)
Cupcake Royale's brioche donut sibling has seasonal flavors like Cranberry White Chocolate and Chocolate Orange Cardamom, in addition to festive sprinkles and decorations for their regular line of flavors.

Shug’s Soda Fountain
The old-timey soda fountain's candy cane sundae lets you consume the peppermint confection in three different forms, with candy cane ice cream, candy cane hot fudge, and, of course, an actual candy cane on top. They also offer chocolate peppermint shakes and eggnog ice cream.

Sugar Factory
A favorite of celebrities like the Kardashians and Drake, this over-the-top chain selling oversized lollipops and massive cocktails in goblets, which threw a grand opening hosted by Mariah Carey earlier this fall, features a line of chocolate-covered pretzels, holiday cotton candy, and other gifts from Mimi herself.

Sugar Plum
Visions of the vegan treats from Plum Bistro's sweet shop sibling, including cupcakes and coconut red velvet cake with chocolate ganache, will definitely be dancing in your head.

Trophy Cupcakes
To celebrate 10 years of business, Trophy has devised the "Christmas Spectacular," a $12.50 cupcake with a green-and-red "Vanilla Holiday Yumfetti" base heaped with donut holes, gum drops, a chocolate Santa, a swirlypop, a chocolate candy cane macaron, candy canes, holiday sprinkles, a white chocolate pretzel, a glittery wafer cookie, and festive decorations. If you're not ready for that level of decadence, they also have dozens with themes like glitzy gold "Sparkle Holly-Day" cupcakes and a Charlie Brown Christmas dozen, and candy cane cupcakes made with "rich Valrhona chocolate cake and tasty peppermint buttercream, rolled in candy cane dust and topped with a mini candy cane." On New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, they'll also have pink champagne cupcakes available.
Note: If ordering online, it's recommended to order as early as possible, with at least 48 hours’ notice. The Holiday Yumfetti cupcake is only available by special order, by 5 pm the previous day for next-day pickup.

Theo Chocolate
For a limited time, the Phinney-based chocolatier is offering an Abominable Snowman Bark, with white chocolate, pistachios, and sugared cranberries, at their Seattle retail store, as well as holiday bars in Gingerbread Spice, Cranberry Orange, Nutcracker Brittle, and Peppermint Stick.

The Fremont natural-wine-shop-slash-cafe has a Christmas brunch-ready pastry menu with cardamom orange currant croissant morning buns, cranberry, pumpkin seed and Meyer lemon scones, gluten free pumpkin donut muffins, and chocolate hazelnut babka loaf, in addition to savory offerings.
