This list is total BS, frankly. So many of these the women are not the chef, or primary owner, or involved in operations AT ALL...they are married to a man who is.... So on IWD, I wanna support fully women-owned businesses, and I would much rather have a shorter list then a list that is sooooo full of misrepresentation. FFS.
@nativelens: Thank you for letting us know—that's our mistake. We've decided to leave Serafina and Cichetti on the list because founder Susan Kaufman made those restaurants what they are today.

For me, I patronize businesses based on the content of their character and service, rather than such a tangential and malleable factor as the owner's gender status.
And to show you're really committed, you have to order the priciest entree or item and tip 30% even if the food is lousy or the line is long.
