This year, Veterans Day (Sun Nov 11) not only honors US military personnel of the past and present—it's also the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, the original name for Veterans Day, which was enacted in 1918 to mark the end of World War I and to promote peace around the world. We've rounded up all the ways to observe the occasion, from Auburn's 53rd Annual Veterans Day Parade & Observance to the Museum of History & Industry's Armistice Day Centennial Commemoration to special discounts at places like the Woodland Park Zoo. You can also find them on our Veterans Day calendar.
