2. The Enematic Cinematic LIVES!!
Some of Seattle's funniest comics—in this case, El Sanchez, Travis Vogt, and Kevin Clark—provide live commentary of terrible movies during this live taping of the Enematic Cinematic podcast. This time, they'll be enhancing the 1984 film Runaway, in which Cynthia Rhodes and Tom Selleck battle robotic appliances.
3. Live, Laugh, Love - Seattle's Date Night Comedy Show
Are you a super-cool couple of lovebirds who dig stand-up? Get into this recurring stand-up show for $20 bucks for the two of you. Of course, you can get the same sweet price (plus fees) as a single person if you buy in advance.
4. Resist, Rebel, Survive
The avant-garde EXcinema group will present films on a newly popular theme, including Georg Kosulinski’s Inauguration Day, films about the Womxn’s March by Caryn Cline and Luke Sieczek, Reed O’Beirne’ s No Time for Shopping, Kelly Sears’s Pattern for Survival, Salise Hughes’ MEOW, and a vintage Yugoslav "bomb shelter etiquette" PSA. Resist with weirdness!
5. Extraordinary Women Trivia Night
Show off your knowledge of amazing, talented, ingenious, brave women and raise money to help the Jubilee Women's Center and its temporary housing program. The $12 buy-in benefits Jubilee in entirety—they say it's enough to house one woman for one day in a private room.
6. Boozers!
Boozers exists for the rather large cross-section of people who equally love heavy drinking and noodling around with an instrument. Witness an evening of experimentation by guitarist Tristan Gianola, Willow Goodine and Chris Martin of Swindler, and Jason Gray of Polyrhythmics as they break out all kinds of psychedelic jams for every taste.
7. Emo Night LA: Emo Nite
Bring back the early-mid 2000's with your deep passion for gauged ears, flat-ironed hair, and Pete Wentz's smirk. Emo Nite, presented by Emo Night LA, is the new sensation of reliving your MySpace glory in the form of a high energy, passionately emo DJ night.
8. Cabaret of Evil's Strip Against Trump
Cabaret of Evil does not do a great job of living up to its name, because this show is dedicated to the decidedly angelic goal of raising money for the Gender Justice League—through the saintly art of clothes removal.
9. The Flux Salon: Daddy
The Flux Salon presents a reading of Jeremy O. Harris' new play, Daddy, about a young black artist preparing for his first major exhibit.
10. Andrea Petersen with Elisabeth Eaves
Whether writers are somehow predisposed to anxiety or they're just more forthcoming about their mental health, many people have overlapping interests in literature and anxiety disorders. Science writer Andrea Petersen will share her new book, On Edge: A Journey Through Anxiety, that combines her personal experiences with an investigation into the origins of mental illness. She will be joined by Seattle writer Elisabeth Eaves.
11. The Red in the Rainbow: Socialism and Queer Liberation
The Seattle International Socialist Organization will talk about the intertwined history of socialism, anti-capitalism, and queer liberation.

ART12. Testing, Testing 1-2-3 Opening Week
Some of the coolest parts of the Burke Museum are inaccessible to the public—neither their vast collections nor their research are easy to see or appreciate as a guest. The museum is getting ready to change that at the same time they prepare for an even bigger change: the creation of an entirely new Burke Museum opening in 2019 that they hope will serve and educate the public better (which is exciting—the old Burke is a hard act to follow). Testing, Testing 1-2-3 is an exhibit that demos some of their ideas about how they might engage visitors at the new museum, including highlighting behind-the-scenes work and letting guests grab a sneak peek into their labs.

COMMUNITY13. Pack City Hall for a Seattle Progressive Income Tax
Socialist Alternative, 350 Seattle, the Democratic Socialists of America, and other local organizations call on supporters of a city income tax to "pack City Hall" and show the Councilmembers that Seattle is ready to correct its regressive tax structure.
14. Seafair Kickoff
As Seafair roars to life, watch the announcement of the new King Neptune and Queen Alcyone and browse exhibits, meet "Seafair personalities," and see hydroplanes skim and fly.
15. Aesthetic Mess: Two-Year Anniversary
Seattle’s foremost post-punk night returns with live sets by some of their favorite Seattle artists and electronic musicians in honor of their two-year anniversary as a DJ night. Goo Goo and DJ Jermaine, as always, will spin a fascinating assortment of post-punk, weird dub, minimal wave, and other mutant subgenera, and new zine Reality Net will release their introductory issue.
16. Chris Cornell Tribute Night
Celebrate the spirit of Northwest legend and ex-Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell with live tribute sets from DJ Brad Brains, Wes Sp8, and Freeze.
17. The Country Lips' Summer Social with the Easy Leaves, Evening Bell, Caleb & Walter
Back in 2012, we profiled the Country Lips' guitarist Alex Leake in our "Men Who Rock!" issue. When asked to explain the group's success, he offered, "Well, we apparently look good enough to attract a lot of wedding gigs, but they always seem to pair us with a pig roast." But the eight men of the Country Lips are more than just pretty faces that go well with roast pork, as you'll see when they return to Neumos for their summer social: They're capable of keeping dancers bounding around until deep into the night.
18. Father Daughter #15
Nicholas and Darb combine their powers in the "expansion of cinema" series Father Daughter, pairing experimental ambient music with immersive visuals. The featured artists and musicians in tonight's lineup include Wyzecracker, #SadNi**a, Mack, Lowell, Hank, El Voto, Quay, Pipebomb, and more.
19. Rise Up: A Tribute to the Music of Hamilton
Not to be confused with actual theater, performers within this production of Rise Up take favored individual songs from Hamilton and put their own spin on them for an audience of equally obsessed Hamilton lovers.
20. Wasted Words
Experience the wonder of a truly dedicated Seattle-based Allman Brothers tribute band, Wasted Words. They'll be playing a career-spanning buffet of Allman Brothers classics astride a complex blend of styles, covering everything from the Bobby Blue Bland to Miles Davis and anything in between.
21. Hunks the Show
Men will sing, dance, and take off their clothes in this production explicitly aimed at "bachelorettes, birthday girls, and divorcees." Be warned.
22. The Alzheimer's Talks: Madison Cowan
This is the first in a series of talks that will explore celebrities' personal experiences with Alzheimer's. Hear about the experience that Madison Cowan (first ever Grand Champion on Chopped) had with a loved one who developed the pervasive type of dementia.
23. Growing a Revolution: Bringing Our Soil Back to Life
Soil health may not sound glamorous, but our food supply depends on the ground's ability to nourish plants year after year. Learn from David R. Montgomery, University of Washington professor of geomorphology, about how innovations in soil science that reduce the need for water and chemicals may yet save us from starvation.

ART24. RAW Seattle Presents: VERSE
Party with artists, performers, musicians, dancers, designers, and makeup specialists at this showcase for the multinational RAW collective of indie creators—more then 40 of them will be there on each of the two nights. There'll be music by DJ Martini, stuff to buy, a fashion show, a screening, and more.

PERFORMANCE25. Fantastic.Z Theatre’s 5th Annual New Works Festival: FAMILY
Curated by Fantastic.Z Theatre Company, the festival focuses this season on family, showcasing six new works from local and distant playwrights. Directed by Ian Stewart, Marquicia Domingue, and Michael Ryan Blackwood.

PERFORMANCE26. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)
This goofily ambitious play condenses all of Shakespeare's greatest works into a 90-minute frenzy that will include presenting Titus Andronicus as a cooking show and performing Hamlet "three times faster and backwards."
27. Downstairs
The Construction Zone is a month-long workshop where audiences have the chance to see new work by contemporary playwrights—and get a preview of what's coming up next at ACT, because ACT chooses one play from the series to feature in their next season. The 2016 edition of The Construction Zone featured four new plays, and the winner was Theresa Rebeck's Downstairs, a dysfunctional family play about a brother who refuses to move from his sister's basement. At almost the same time Downstairs is being featured on the main stage at ACT, it will also be performed (with a celebrity cast) at Vermont's Dorset Theatre Festival.
There will be no show on Thursday.

COMEDY28. Matryoshka: Everything is Game
Improv Anonymous is proposing an interesting comedic experiment: Treating each spontaneous character as a set of nesting matryoshka dolls, with the profoundest thoughts, fantasies, and fears hidden in successive layers of outside appearances. The audience will help the improvisers create these deep-seated emotions and motives, then watch the actors gradually reveal their concealed selves.
29. Canton Alley Party
Celebrate the repaving of the old Canton Alley in Chinatown with a ribbon-cutting, food, music, and a signing of the book Walk Don't Run: Growing Up Asian in Seattle by author Dale Hom.
30. Seattle Mayoral Forum: Affordable and Accessible Child Care
How do Nikkita Oliver, Mike McGinn, Cary Moon, Jenny Durkan, Jessamyn Farrell and ohmygodtherearesomanymayoralcandidates (okay, the last one is Bob Hasegawa) plan to make childcare affordable and accessible to all parents and caregivers? The six major hopefuls will gather to respond to the community at this discussion hosted by SEIU 925 and Working Washington. Childcare, snacks, and Somali translation will be available onsite.
31. Aslan Disco Lemonade Party
Head to Greenlake's Latona Pub to celebrate Aslan's Disco Lemonade, the brewery's annual summer beer. This year, they're adding to the fun by infusing it with raspberry and throwing a disco party. Come for the beer and the sweet, sweet '70s melodies.
32. KISS FM's One Big Concert
KISS FM radio station will treat you to the music of Lindsey Stirling, Ocean Park Standoff, and Spencer Ludwig to support Seattle Children's Hospital's Greatest Needs Fund, which helps children in need get the best possible cancer care.
33. Ride & Fleet Foxes Listening Party
Get into the mood for new music at this back to back listening party for new albums by Ride and Fleet Foxes. You'll hear Ride's Weather Diaries and Fleet Foxes' Crack Up, and there will be giveaways and surprises.

The Margin Shift poetry reading series will host five readers this time: Kilam Tel Aviv, Ellen Welcker, Kale Kim, Joseph Donahue, and J.W. Marshall (the co-founder of Open Books).
37. Rick Wartzman: The End of Corporate Loyalty
Jill Abramson (former executive editor of The New York Times) wrote that Rick Wartzman's The End of Loyalty: The Rise and Fall of Good Jobs in America is "a prescient book that helps explain the rise of Donald Trump and why so many people feel anger and an acute sense of loss." Jobs here are not what they used to be. Wartzman, focusing on four major American employers (General Motors, General Electric, Kodak, and Coca-Cola) will explain why.

PERFORMANCE38. Brown Derby Presents: Beauty & The Beast
Seattle has a venerable and undignified tradition of marvelously ramshackle bar theater. If Dina Martina is its queen, Ian Bell's Brown Derby Series—which adapts major motion pictures for raucous, boozy audiences—is the crown prince. 63. They're All Gonna Laugh at You
You may think of Chekhov, the author of The Seagull, The Cherry Orchard, and other great big barrels of laughs, as something of a gloomy guy. Actually, even his tragedies have their hilarious parts, but as a younger writer, Chekhov produced some outright goofball farces. Sidepiece Theatre Company will adapt these "B-sides" to a Wyoming trailer park. They say: "Come experience the works of the father of modern theatre as he never intended you to."

Enter the Runyonesque world of two-bit gamblers, nightclub dancers, and missionaries in Old New York at Theatre 47's production of Abe Burrows and Frank Loesser's musical.

Eleven dancers from two ensembles (one in Seattle, another in Columbus, OH) will perform this new work by Sea↔Bus that is "a search for the thread that interconnects the sublime and the pedestrian; for the color that imbues both dye and sky."

Long Shot started with a competition in which people all around the world took out their cameras and submitted their results to be considered for the pop-up exhibition happening today.
67. Always Be Kind Rewind
Always Be Clothing's sketches revisit the most iconic scenes in movies and give them odd twists.
68. Drunk High Advice
Why get advice from your dumb friends when you can benefit from the thoughtful words of "an inebriated panel" of comedians? Once you've heard the panel's council on your problem, a group of improvisers will act out the possible consequences of the advice.
69. Not Too Late with Elicia Sanchez
The late show with local favorite Elicia Sanchez and "comedian/non-musician" Nick Sahoyah promises stunts, music, comedy, weirdness, and surprises.
70. Spec Script Takes Seattle: Gotham
Ever wonder what a TV show would look like without all that fancy camerawork and CGI and a script that makes sense? A team of comedians will invite you to perform your own mental special effects as they perform a staged reading of an invented script for a real TV show—in this case, Gotham—written by someone who has never actually watched said show. This event usually takes place in Portland; this night's reading is a special Seattle edition. The illustrious cast will include El Sanchez, Monisa Brown, Bettina McKelvey, Lewis Sequeira, Chris Khatami, and Kyle McCormick.
71. Civic Saturday with Eric Liu
Eric Liu will host Civic Saturday, described as "a civic analogue to church": a service that celebrates the American civic tradition through readings, songs, silent reflection, and a sermon by Liu himself.
72. Dirty Talk for BDSM
"Mmmm, baby, truss me up like a Christmas goose!" is something you will probably not be taught to say at this free workshop in the neighborhood's cutest little sex shop. Learn sexy ways to use your words in kink scenes; if you're very lucky, you may win some "BDSM essentials."
73. Festa Junina with En Canto
En Canto hosts Festa Junina, a Brazilian harvest fest similar to Carnaval, with traditional food, drinks, games, and quadrilha dancing with live forro music to get your blood pumping.
74. Bring Back The '90s Club Crawl
Experience the '90s like you never have before (because you probably weren't born yet) by donning your best flannel and JNCOs and hitting the streets with this decade-specific bar and nightclub crawl. The route includes '90s music-laden hot spots around Seattle like Cowgirls Inc. and Stage Seattle.
75. Seven Beef Butchery Class
How do butchers turn a big ol' animal piece into tasty steaks? Find out with Chef Han, who'll show you "how to split sides of beef into primals," which sounds oddly mathematical, and from there to meal-sized cuts. The price includes two pounds of ground beef to take home, plus your own steak and a rosé lunch.
76. Circuit Playground: Rainbow Badges
Living Computers: Museum + Labs will rope you into the Pride tech fun with a circuitboard workshop, which will teach you "conditional logic, data manipulation, and visualization techniques" while you make your own wearable rainbow tech jewelry.
77. Ani Choying Live - Buddhist Rockstar Nun
Ani Choying Drolma will stretch your soul with her performances of Buddhist mantras and songs. The nun is performing to help raise money for communities and schools in Nepal that have yet to recover from the terrible earthquake of 2015.
78. Daybreaker SEA: 90s Throwback
Do you know anybody who staggers home at 3 am and wakes up with heartburn at noon, reeking of debauchery and late-night bar snacks? Well, you don't want to be THAT person, you want to do yoga at nine and dance wholesomely throughout breakfast! Daybreaker lets you do just that with other like-minded morning daisies—but this time, there's an extra twist (and it's not just that they're starting at a godly hour this time). You'll be celebrating "the decade of Nickelodeon slime, dial-up modems, and the battle of the boy bands" in your best '90s flannel or denim or whatever. 80. LUCO Presents: Triple Play
Lake Union Civic Orchestra (or LUCO) will present a performance of "triple plays," that is, the third of a composition series, or a piece that exists in thirds. The program will feature William Schuman's New England Triptych, Ludwig van Beethoven's Triple Concerto, and Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 3.
81. School of Rock Seattle: RUSH
Watch the tiny musical treasures of the future play the prog rock relics of the past, with School of Rock Seattle's tribute to Canadian icons Rush.
82. An African American Odyssey
Northwest Tap Connection presents this live show featuring music, dance, and spoken word that will explore "the economic, social, political, artistic, and racial imprints that have cultivated the black experience in American culture."
83. Emerald City Burlesque presents For Your Eyes Only and Aperitif
This event promises performances from two very different burlesque troupes (For Your Eyes Only and Aperitif) punctuated by a mid-show cocktail hour. Plus, look forward to guest performances by Waxie Moon (Capitol Hill Web Series, among many other credits) and Eartha Quake.
84. Love Is Love: A Pole Dance Revue
Witness muscular, sexy artistry from pole dancers and Emerald City Trapeze Arts students as they interpret the theme of "Love Is Love."

Musical performers get cast thoroughly, perhaps disastrously against type to sing songs no one would ever ask them to sing.

87. Seattle Women's Pride Music Festival
Cut loose at the Seattle Lesbian's big annual bash with concerts by the hazy trio Parlor Walls and the melodically inventive band Oracle Room. The VIP tickets are only $10 more, and $5 of that goes to the ACLU.
88. Bitch Sesh
The pop culture comedy podcast show by Danielle Schneider and Casey Wilson will come to life on the Showbox Stage.
89. New Media Touring presents Lore Podcast Live Seattle
If you're a fan of creepy urban legends, dark (and true) histories, and chatty, educational podcasts, check out this live presentation of podcast Lore with host Aaron Mahnke and musical guest Chad Lawson on piano. 100. Deepening the Silence Within: Music for a New Humanity
Island Consort will present their new annual festival in promotion of contemporary composition, launching this summer. This edition of the New Music on the Rock show series will feature an afternoon concert on the Chinook Lands and leading into the Whidbey Island Institute Hall, with works by regional composers Neil Welch, Huck Hodge, UW professor Stuart Dempster, and Kit Mills, with eurythmy performances by Maiko Canard. There will also be a Composers' Forum, open to the public, fostering discussion regarding "humanity and the creative spark," the role of silence and listening in the process of creation, and the relevance of new music. The evening finale will be a concert of works by Whidbey Island Institute's Composer-in-Residence Jerry Mader, featuring an oboe quintet, a piano quintet, and a set of three vocal motets.

108. Southwest Stories: The Ancient Fruitcake—What Really, Really Old Food Tells Us
The Southwest Seattle Historical Society offers monthly presentations about the history of our region—this time, they'll focus on really, really old food. (Way older than whatever it is in that container you've been conveniently ignoring at the back of the fridge.) Journalist Harriet Baskas will find meaning in the "strange stories of food that is so old, so unusual, or so meaningful that no one dares throw it away."
