We went looking for the culture of Seattle’s Light Rail. We found one that’s full of earnest local regulars, oppressive silence, and a Black Parade.

What a local colorful exercise to assign staffers to.

Charles's section begins with a SB train at Capitol Hill, but ends with a NB train in Montlake Terrace. Strange.

Mudede got the facts mixed up about the rolling stock. The new trains are by Siemens and the old ones are Kinkisharyo.

I ride it anywhere from 4-6 times a day and 'fare ambassadors only check tickets at the Angle Lake and Lynnwood. " isnt remotely true. They almost always get on at Pioneer Square/Symphony when I'm on it.

@3 My overall impression is that the closer you are to downtown Seattle, the more likely you are to meet a fare inspector. I virtually never see them on the far ends of the line.
