Toronto artist Stephen Andrews didn't lowercase the title just to be twee. His sentence fragment points the way to his drawings—based on photographs, and rubbed on over layers of mesh—as bits of information massed together and longing for meaning. Since his 2005 show of war drawings, he has switched to advertising. His latest animation is a symbol-packed 45-second car commercial in which you play the driver, the deer, the pedestrian, and the road itself.
