- really Jen? did he TELL you that? no, he didn't. he blew his fucking brains out and NO ONE will truly know why, except HIM. and venturing out on that limb was exceptionally tacky of you.

I think Nirvana sucks. boring/run of the mill/ anonymous rock music. Alice in Chains and Soundgarden were the only hip thing to come out of that time and place.

@3; Kurt explicitly states he felt he'd become a bad artist in his suicide note. "The worst crime I can think of would be to rip people off by faking it and pretending as if I'm having 100 percent fun." That's what Jen was drawing from. The note is widely available. You should think twice before being so rude in your comments. I'm sure your parents raised you better than that.

Gee thanks Jack. We were all curious about your view on Nirvana. I'm even more curious however to know why you would waste your time reading about an exhibition about a band/artist you dislike, and why you would take time to post such a pointless brain fart.

i hate to be one of those annoying nitpickers whom i tend to hate, but i think your Neil Young reference is wrong.

Cobain's suicide note quoted the song "Hey Hey My My", which was not about Kent State. The Kent State song is called "Ohio".

Hey "i'm new here," I'll pick an even tinier nit by pointing out that the Neil Young song quoted in the note is "My My Hey Hey", not "Hey Hey My My." Hate that!
