Awesomely, the "previously unnamed disease" referred to in Faught's found text is... codependency. All potential misunderstandings completely intentional, though.

Exciting times! And too bad change is so uncertain and often so hard, but Eric is absolutely right that "there are many more examples of things that have outlived their purposes than that have ended too soon...the fetish for preserving everything actually gets in the way of new things emerging."

It's rare to find people who take on the task of change by deliberately ending things to make space and resources for what we don't yet know. Anne Focke, who was part of such change thirty years ago at and/or gallery, wrote of and/or: "It's energy went to doing, not to building a lasting structure. In the end it seeded, divided, dissolved its center. It was allowed to become 'myth,' to have a beginning and an end." I am impressed if Western Bridge can do the same.
