A few months ago I wrote about John Grade's 10,000-pound ceramic sculpture, the one he's going to hike up the side of a private mountain this winter and leave out to swell and shrink and soak up the weather before it comes back down, changed and with a long embedded memory.

Now that piece is at Davidson Galleries for the month. At 6 pm Friday, the artist is giving a free talk at the Central Library downtown. Go!
