Andy Rooney.

I'd comment, but my cell phone is beeping. Gotta go.
3
The fierce urgency of now.
4
Do you think someday we will look back and recognize this writing as the beginning of his unraveling?
5
I think someone needs a nice camping vacation.

First world problems.

Yes, let's not have construction equipment beep when it backs up and just count on people to see if the reverse lights are on.

This is a good plan.

Ben: Spent much time on a construction site with lots of heavy equipment? The beeping is coming from every-friggen-direction: Is it the nearby front-loader that's backing up and may be a danger, or is it the far-away bobcat that's utterly no danger? After about a minute one tries to just ignore it all because it is so prevalent as to be nearly useless.

My personal peeve: The beeping of EVERY GODDAMN BUS that kneels to load and unload passengers. IT'S A GODDAMN BUS, it's moving SIX FRIGGEN INCHES, and nobody is stupid enough to CLAMBER UNDER THE BUS while it is loading passengers.

Second on the list: Your over-the-stovetop microwave oven with the built-in light. And it beeps when you press the light button. What-the-hell? I can see the goddamn light go on, you don't need to beep to confirm something happened.

Enough, already. More silence, less frivolous beeping.

Maybe I'm just less retarded than artists are when it comes to figuring out how to turn off beeps.

Worse than the beeping of modern technology is the flashing lights. It has seemingly gotten worse as red light cameras are more common in urban areas.

Every time I'm just sitting at a light, waiting for it to turn green, and I get blasted by three quick (super bright) camera flashes... it just makes me angry that you can't do anything about it. Visual pollution is a real drag.

@ 1o:
yeah that's it.
many of the beeps we are forced to endure every day we have no control over

I'm with Dunkerly.

Everytime I see in print or hear someone say, "PIN number," I feel the rage building. It's right up there with, "ATM machine."

PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER NUMBER?!!

AUTOMATIC TELLER MACHINE MACHINE?!!!

Fuck him and his beeping. I'm with #1. The whole thing strikes me as a bad Andy Rooney impression.

...and will kindly help you to become a better drawer...

"Drawer" does not seem like a word that should exist, at least not in this context. Apparently it does. It makes you sound like you're five years old, but apparently it has become proper English.
15
I wish all cars just beeped when you lock them, but no, some have to emit a full-volume honk.
16
I wish all cars just delivered a small shock to the perineum when you lock them. XD

Except mine, which is old-school key-in-lock (but central, at least).

Please wait...
