It turns out that there is a Seattle connection on Season 2 of Work of Art, the debacular (new word, humor me) Bravo reality TV show.
Of this year's 14 contestants, one artist got her BFA at Cornish: Her name is Jazz-Minh, and she is, according to her Bravo bio, "known for her swift painting skills."
Her painting does, indeed, show signs of swiftness. (Her hair shows signs of greatness.)
Cornish spokeswoman Karen Bystrom says Cornish is the only school with alumni on both seasons. (Last year featured Mark Velasquez.) That's weird, kind of cool, and kind of horrible.
Says Slog commenter Maxine about what we're about to witness, starting Wednesday October 12 (9 pm):
My friend went to the first "opening" and the finale. I'm told that we can look forward to a headdress made of boobs, wieners, and feathers. Also making an appearance: the required sexy nude female self portrait.
Me? I can't wait for another go of this wreck.
We cannot but look.
