“Nonconformists travel as a rule in bunches. You rarely find a nonconformist who goes it alone. And woe to him inside a nonconformist clique who does not conform with nonconformity.”
- Eric Hoffer

One of my favorite moments of the walk was waiting for Sarah Galvin to do a theatrical poetry reading outside an abandoned house on 18th ave. An old post office delivery truck refashioned into an ice cream truck slowly crept up at like 2 mph. Everybody stared at it waiting for something to happen. It took us a few minutes before we believed it was actually selling ice cream and not just a mobile prop.
The reading was good too.

3 dear, That car is located next door to Chez Vel-DuRay! Perhaps you saw me on the veranda, sunning myself and enjoying a cocktail.

The car's a Plymouth. a 1961, I think.

Klara did an fantastic job on this event. She really is an amazing woman.

This was awesome. My girlfriend and I ended up becoming artists on the spot - Beth at Cullom Gallery was supposed to hand out little art "refreshments" to participants but her artist was running late, so we pitched in and cranked out a bunch until reinforcements arrived.

The poor event was in desperate need of an editor! Would have been much more successful as a 2k. But I do agree, it was a great party!
