Finding Trust is local artist and photographer Annie Marie Musselman’s first book. The photos, taken while she was a volunteer at an animal rescue center here in Washington State, transcend what you’d expect of a book simply filed under “wildlife photography.” Portraits of injured eagles, owls, baby coyotes, raccoons, deer, and tiny fawns—all shot so beautifully, and with so much humanity and dignity, that several have landed in museums (the Burke), art galleries (Alice Austen House in NYC, Ansel Adams Gallery in California), and magazines, including Marie Claire China. Musselman will share her stories, and you’ll leave with a renewed awe and respect for the feathered and four-legged creatures we walk this earth with.
