I would love to see the videos of "mass-produced racist black butler figurines with individualizing marks of wear and tear." The soundsuits come alive with the videos (and performances), so the more the better.

I don't know. SAM seems to bring in so many shows that are focused on something that will attract the general public as a spectical. The Kurt Cobain exhibit seemed designed to suck in the general public's interest even though was really about specific visual artists. Colorful stuff that draw just about any eye. Kind of like a Disney stage prop.

Cave's things seem designed to grab one's attention but do they add up to significant? They seem more Broadway lite. There is so much wonderful wearable art that SAM has not gone to instead. Kim Jones was so art art, dark and real and religated to the Henry. His performance was such a trip. Cave leaves me wanting something more.
