I'd like the Stranger to reconsider their commitment to running up and down escalators. This is not the first time I've seen this attitude here. When riding an escalator with a small child, it's good to stand next to them, and encourage them to NOT walk the stairs but to stay still. Also, older people (who may have balance issues) may want to stand still and perhaps have a companion stand next to them. Perhaps the anonymous commuter needs to start earlier rather than hurrying faster.
Push past me with a brusque "excuse me" and I may very well trip you.
