I know the guy with the goat. I've worked with him and the goat, oddly enough, and I know that he genuinely loves that goat very much and takes care of it and I would guess the relationship is reciprocal. The way you portray Erick in this article is incredibly tasteless. Erick is an amazing individual, and the paper not doing its due diligence in representing him is shameful and is not representative of the journalistic process. You owe him and his family, who are residents of this amazing city, an apology. I know Erick personally and am from the same community he is from in the Florida panhandle and know that he genuinely cares for Deer, his goat, and treats him with the greatest care. As a paper which prides itself on representing the under represented this is just shameful.
